The founder, Maharaniadhirani Kam Sundari, donated her entire collection of more than 15,000 Books, a number of Sanskrit Manuscripts, Paintings, 12,000 Photographs, 10 (16 mm) Films (shot between 1932 and 1948 covering various socio-cultural events and the visits of several Viceroys, Governors and other Dignitaries of the Country and State), Old Gramophone Records and several pieces of nineteenth century Furniture to the Foundation. A large number of the books of this collection were published in the 18th and 19th Centuries. The Foundation also received in Gift from the Founder a large number of Historical Documents such as Diaries, Letters, Sanads, Copies of Farmans of Mughal days and rare Artefacts. The Foundation received in donation late Kumar Jeeveshwar Singh’s collection of Books and Manuscripts from his wife Smt. Irawati Devi. Further, it also acquired personal libraries of late Rabindra Nath Jha and Professor Ramkrishna Mukherjee, a very eminent sociologist of the country.  The Foundation has a number of very old Sanskrit Manuscripts donated by Shri Dharma Nath Mishra. A large number of Sanskrit Manuscripts and old issues of some Journals have been donated by the Managing Trustee.
